Katherine Brethower

Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor

EMDR Therapist

Through my own grief and loss, I have developed a strong desire to support individuals who are experiencing their own life storms. My commitment to you will be to support your process of exploration and transformation with unwavering acceptance and belief.

I am passionate about helping individuals to experience a greater sense of hope and healing.

The overwhelming love and joy that comes with creating your family or watching it grow, can also bring on feelings of stress and anxiety. As a parent, it can be difficult trying to balance the countless roles and expectations put on you by yourself or others. Being a mother myself, I can relate to the pressures of trying to do it all, while feeling the need to be everything for everyone. Your children don’t need a perfect parent, they just need you.

As your therapist, I want to create a space for your voice and story to feel heard and unconditionally accepted. Everyone’s story is going to lead them in a different direction. I want to help you navigate through the various seasons of life and the challenges that come with it. Together, we can achieve that by identifying the strengths and resilience within yourself. Whether you have a history of trauma, are navigating the depths of pregnancy and postpartum, or dealing with a life transition, we can work collaboratively to give you the tools that fit your individual needs.

Throughout my clinical experience, I have worked alongside individuals and families who have experienced relational conflict, anxiety, trauma, and grief of all kinds. I believe clients are the experts on their lives. During our work together, I will offer support and guidance to establish goals and progress towards positive change.

You can do hard things!
